If you would like to read an exciting short story, at the
same time help its author, please consider making a donation, large or
small, for our exciting true horseback riding story e-book. This short story was written by my
daughter when she
was 13 years old. It is about her
horseback riding adventure in the San Diego County mountains with her young cousins
on the infamous Pacific Crest Trail.
This story is dedicated to the memory
of DJ's horse, "Swiftwind", an Appendix Quarterhorse mare, and DJ, who,
when riding Swiftwind, won many awards and rode like the wind!

My daughter was told by a physician that she would not
reach the age of 25, less than six months away, because of an illness.
That was in 2002! She has made a lot of positive changes, taking her
medicines and WholeFood supplements, following her doctors' instructions and
setting goals.
Even though she has a constant battle, she is doing great, and I am very
proud of her.
Your donations will go to assist her in her medical bills
and care.
Thank you.

and below she is riding her favorite horse she trained from birth, Swiftwind,
an Appendix Quarterhorse. Below right, with Rocky, a Shetland pony, and on the left, with one of our
dogs, Geisha, and with one of our many cats.
